Battery Lab Now Reserving Time at North Campus and Ellsworth

The University of Michigan Battery Lab is now accepting reservations for Q2 and Q3 2025. Industry and academic partners can reserve time at either of our two operating facilities:

Battery Lab 1.0 (North Campus)

Battery Lab 2.0 (Ellsworth Road)

Additional advanced production line now available

“Both facilities are available to companies of all sizes, as well as U-M research teams. If you’re developing a new technology or a new chemistry and want to see how they perform at scale, we can help. That’s what the Battery Lab was built for,” says Greg Less, Director, U-M Battery Lab. “As a U-M Research Core, we are here to help you with your research project, without compromising or taking a piece of your intellectual property. Your success is our success!”
