Delivering Well-Rounded Education in Cutting-Edge EV Tech

The EVC’s strategic pillar on Education is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge Electric Vehicle technology training, preparing the next generation for a career in electric mobility.

The EVC will support U-M’s comprehensive educational offerings including focused industry relevant Master’s degree programs such as the Integrative Systems + Design (ISD) Graduate Programs in Energy Systems, Automotive Engineering, and Global Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering (GAME), developing a new Master’s in Engineering (ME) in Battery Engineering, and expanding the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Master of Engineering Degrees.

We are creating EV infused content, including modules, problem sets and laboratory exercises for existing undergraduate courses in Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical Engineering. These, along with a suite of NEXUS certificate courses, encompass areas from Battery Manufacturing to Advanced Certification in Automated & Electric Vehicles will support industry re-skilling and upskilling.

Catering to a diverse audience of students and professionals, our approach combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, equipping learners with the skills to lead and innovate in the rapidly evolving field of electric vehicles.
